INTERROGATION

The knowledge, ability and understanding of extracting information from another person. This can be tackled one of many ways or even a combination of ways: subtle, convincing and bribing techniques, 'good cop, bad cop' styles, torturing, and long term psychological torture can all be used to gain the required information. This is not an exact science but at very high Ratings, the wanted information is often achieved more quickly and effectively than at lower Ratings.

The time period, tech level and situation all modify greatly the chance of success and it is an opposed skill between the interrogator and the interrogated victim. Whomever's result is double the opponents wins the Interrogation process and gains a STEP against the other. Once the required STEP has been gained by either side, then the interrogation has ended. If the victim wins then no information is given and any further interrogation will only begin to harm the victim's SANITY and health. If the interrogator wins then information is gained from the victim. The Interrogator and victim uses one of the following techniques (in the order presented):-

Roll To Rating Result

Interrogation skill gains are trmporary and only apply to that victim whilst they are undergoing frequent interrogation, even if over some time. Once the interrogation has ended, or the victim has been released from interrogation, the gain is lost.
