21. LIFT:

Knowledge of the correct procedures to physically lift objects without causing damage either to the character or to the object being lifted. A successful lifting is mostly STR based, with holding time using STA and STR. STR gives weight able to be lifted (in pounds). STA determines time able to hold item up.
Default: STR roll:
  • Success = weight is lifted. Time able to be held begins.
  • Failure = weight not lifted properly, put back down (damage applied to object if appropriate).
  • Critical Failure (over STR x2) = 1D4-2 DMG per 28lbs dropped.

No skill Rating in Lift results in character taking half equal damage as object in a 'strain' to STR.

Half-max to Max weights can be held for STA rating in half-minutes before STA rolls and STR rolls are made.

Lighter weights than Half-Max need only roll every STA x 2 in minutes.
