17. SEARCH:

This is skill in searching an area or device or a person. Specifically used when searching physically not with just sight (Detect hidden or Sight senses roll), or technical devices (Data tracking). Includes knowledge of where likely things would or could be hidden, if the item being searched for is known to the searcher.

A successful sight senses roll can add to the search skill, (or touch etc, whichever is appropriate). A successful Detect hidden object roll can indicate that the item is in a certain area and adds Detect hidden object success ÷ 10 onto search skill rating (round down).
