Aperture Release is a Manc which opens locked doors, windows, secret doors, hatches, or trapdoors, in fact anything with a locking mechanism. This includes locks constructed from string or rope, but only if it is made into a hoop and hooked onto a pin or some other form of hooking, nut just tied into a knot. It also does not open doors secured with a bar across both doors unless that bar is locked into position. The main type of lock this will open is one that requires some form of key or  device to unlock it, or a physical, but simple, lifting, turning, or unhooking, to be released. It will even open complex cog and chain held devices.

By default, when cast it will open every door, window, and all other thingsalready mentioned and they will swing, or drop open as they would normally if opened fully. Doors open to 90°, trap doors fall open or rise open to their normal resting place and so on. Some items may be used to touch the desired aperture and this opens that specific aperture only.

The caster needs not know there is a door or portal anywhere near when they cast this Manc. The Range of the Manc is determined by the caster's Level, although they may elect a smaller area of effect if they wish to a minimum of the caster's Level in feet radius. The Range, unless stated differently, is the caster's Level x5 feet radius, centered on the user. So a Level 1 Acolyte can open all doors within a 10-foot diameter, whilst a Level 5 Forward can open all doors within a 50-foot diameter.

Gestures are necessary to successfully use Aperture Release. Vocals decrease the stated Power Level by -1, however Mind Casting is possible but this increases the stated Power Level by +3.
There is no counter to this Manc but there are ways to prevent it. A Wizard Lock or Hold Lock will hold against this at least once, and the Aperture Release may require multiple castings. Other than these two Manc, simple knot locks will prevent this from working and bars that have to be placed manually.

Item Creation:-

The effects of these items are the same as for the spell by the same Mancer. The caster's Level determines Range.

To create the items for Aperture Release hand gestures, vocals and immersion are all essential for the item to be created. Depending on the item, it must be immersed in the Manc solution and the vocals repeated every Passage. Tarse leaves lower the Power Level by 1 but increase the immersion (and thus the time) by one half Passage. Once immersion has been completed the item must then be placed within a locked chest or similar device. A room or cupboard are not suitable.

For the spell to be imbued into the Mancer, the Mancer must immerse at least their hands into the solution once able to (because it is boiled). If immersed into very hot solution then the Power Level drops by 1 Level, if the whole body is immersed then the Power Level drops by 1 Level. The Power Level modifiers of whole body immersion and very hot solution are cumulative.

Cooking and Timekeeping are necessary skills needed.
