The ability to move normally and yet not make a sound can have obvious benefits. The ability to remove sound from an area, or a victim can also prove very beneficial. This Manc gives the caster the chance to do just that, remove all sound from either themselves or an area. This Manc has three forms, one that effects only the self, and two that are area effects. All are able to be modified with an increase in Power Levels.

Normal creatures that use hearing as a sense will be totally deaf within the area effect, or unable to hear the user of self silence, but creatures, or any sentient form, that uses vibration as a sense will operate normally. Mancers using this Manc, of any form, will not be able to use Manc that requires vocals, only non-vocal spells or stored non-vocal Manc on items can be used.

Banish Manc will dispel this Manc. Restoration will dispel this Manc on self silence only.

1st Form: Self-Silence

This form is self silence and affects only the user, making them silent to all others. Whatever they do they make no noise. They may disturb other things that will cause a noise, such as throwing a pebble into a pool will cause the pebble to plop as it hits the water, or knocking over a pile of pots will still have the pots crashing down. However, if the user was to bang the pots with a stick, nothing would be heard. If the user holds someone close, they too are temporarily silenced, but once released are normal once again. Should the user of self silence use an item that makes a continuous noise, such as a flaming arrow, a whooshing throwing axe, or a spinning wheel, then the item remains silenced until it has stopped moving or operating, whereupon it returns to normal.

1st Form Silence may be dispelled by the user as wished, but it can not be reinstated without a new use or casting. Increasing the Power Level by 2 ensures that external objects interacted with also make no sound once the user has passed. Using the previous examples this would mean that the pebble makes no sound as it hits the water and the pots make no sound as they crash to the floor. However, should someone else disturb them, they make normal sounds. Increasing the Power Level by 3 gives the caster the ability to infect victim's with Self-Silence if they fail a Save Vs Manc (this Save occurs even if they volunteer to be silenced). Note that this infected Silence continues with the current user's Duration, it does not start anew on the victim. All Power Level increases are cumulative.

2nd Form: Lesser Silence

This form of Silence creates an area effect. The area is a sphere and equal in diameter to the creator's Level x10 feet. Anything within the sphere is silenced until they leave the area. This form can be used upon the user, so that it travels with them, upon a target object or victim where it travels with them, or else cast upon a target area where it remains in place. Victims get a Save Vs Manc to resist the effect. Objects or areas do not, unless they are somehow sentient or Manc-imbued in which case they get a Save Vs Manc of 5 (or as indicated by the individual object or area).

This form may be doubled in size or Duration by the increase of 2 Power Levels (cumulative: Size +Duration = 4 Power Levels). By increasing the Power Level by 4 anything passing through the area is affected even once they leave the area for a Duration equal to that remaining of the original area Manc. All Power Level increases are cumulative.

3rd Form: Greater Silence

This form also creates an area effect of silence, but is much larger and powerful. The area is a sphere and equal in diameter to the creator's Level x100 feet. Anything within the sphere is silenced until they leave the area. This form can be used upon the user, so that it travels with them, upon a target object or victim where it travels with them, or else cast upon a target area where it remains in place. Victims do get a Save Vs Manc to resist the effect, but it is halved. Objects or areas do not, unless they are somehow sentient or Manc-imbued in which case they get a Save Vs Manc of 3 (or as indicated by the individual object or area).

This form may be doubled in size or Duration by the increase of 3 Power Levels (cumulative: Size +Duration = 6 Power Levels). By increasing the Power Level by 4 anything passing through the area is affected even once they leave the area for a Duration equal to that remaining of the original area Manc. By increasing the Power Level by 6 this Manc can be permanent. Only a Restoration will dispel it completely, as a Banish Manc dispels it for Rounds equal to the Level of the caster of the Banish Manc only, whereupon the silence returns. All Power Level increases are cumulative.

Spell Casting:-

The spell has no vocals, gestures only.

Item Creation:-

The pellet is struck against self, a target, or the ground.

The ring may be activated as wished up to the Duration in Rounds maximum.
