UNREADABLE SCRIPT

Keeping something secret is often essential, but not always easy, especially when it is written down. This Manc does an easy task, but one that could save lives, or more. This Manc changes any written text into a strange script that does not correspond to any other language so that no-one can then read it or decipher it. In its basic form the script is changed to a seemingly normal, albeit unreadable text or symbols. The user can dispel this Manc at will and it then transforms back into its original form.

By adding a +1 Power Level the script can be made invisible to all except the user and caster. By adding +2 Power Levels the script remains visible, is unreadable, but causes confusion in those trying to read it. The victim makes a Save Vs Paralyse or becomes befuddled and a Save Vs Manc or becomes dizzy and sickened. The effect lasts for 2D6 Rounds once the reader has stopped looking at the script.

The script, regardless of which manner was used to make it unreadable, remains so until dispelled by the user, or if the creator dies. The script can be returned to normal by a Mancer that is double the Level of the casting Mancer using Bansih Manc, but this effect only lasts as long as the new Mancer's Level in Rounds. True Seeing allows the script to be seen as normal, but again the Mancer needs to be double the Level of the original Mancer and lasts for their Level in Rounds also.

This Manc works on any form of written language, carvings, engravings, in fact any form of script, symbol, or language that is readable (even if only readable by touch, smell, or taste). It does not effect languages recorded in sound that are heard, unless those sounds are activated by touch first.

The powder is whiteand must be cast over the script and it then effect the whole of the script on that page, wall, door, and so on.

The scroll once read effects all script viewd by the user within their Level in Rounds if they choose so.
