ITEMS

Items are Manc-imbued objects that store the Manc until it is required and then released from the item where it has its affect. Items are considered a stable form of Manc, except by Sorcerers, who view it as a missuse of Manc, confining an ordinarilly free energy or element, into an object, which is both dangerous to the uninitiated, disrespectful to the natural Manc, and effectively could steal the natural Manc from the Plane.

Magicians, who specialise in material Manc and items see it as the correct way to store Manc, indeed they view it as essential, for they believe it keeps that Manc out of harms way, and allows prparation for unseen events that may arise. Certainly, a well-stocked Magician is an arsenal of Manc compared to many other types of Mancer, even the clergy.

There are almost an unconcievable number of items that could be used to store Manc, but its the Manc itself that often refuses to be stored in certain items. The formation and control of the natural Manc into a recognised Manc effect uses many forms of power words, runes, rituals and even ceremonies, but the specifics of which items will take a given Manc affect is undetermiend until a Mancer has researched and found a substance, material, collation, or method to imbue it into an item. Once a Mancer is powerful enough, they often can override this barrier and place the Manc affect into any item they wish, after much experimentation and research of course, which can take Dodecates.
