LAWNER CHARACTER CREATION


This section tells you how to create a character for Lawner.

       

1.

CONCEPTION:
Think what sort of character you want to play, what may be, get an idea for what you are aiming for. Or follow the random method and get a surprise. CLICK FOR DETAILS

2.

PLAYER NAME:
Insert your name on the character sheet and any following sheets to ensure your character is together and not confused with any other.

3.

RACE:
Choose what race you would like to play and ask the DM if that is suitable. They may have restrictions in place or suggestions that make more sense.

4.

CHARACTER TYPE :
Choose a character type for your character, a profession or way of life for them. This may be modified by your Race or by the DM to make the game run more smoothly. Not every Character Type is suitable for every Race.

5.

ATTRIBUTES:
Using the race of your character, roll for your character's attributes

6.

SAVES:
Roll for your character's Saves.

7.

BASIC ABV/DBV:
Using the race of your character, note down the Basic ABV and DBV.

8.

LEVEL / SURVIVED / DIED / RECORD:
Unless your character is starting at a higher Level than normal note down 1 for Level and 0 for everything else in this panel.

9.

XP AND DATE CREATED:
From your Character Type note down the XP (Experience Points) and other details here.

10.

SKILLS:
Choose your character's skills based on your Conception, Race, and Character Type along with any suggestions or restrictions from the DM.

11.

WEAPON PROFCIENCY:
Choose the melee weapons that your character can use, with considerations to Concept, Race, and Character Type. Again DM restrictions or suggestions may apply.

12.

LANGUAGES:
Note down any starting languages from Race or Character Type, and then roll for other languages.

13.

ARMOUR:
Choose your character's armour based on Conception, Race, Character Type with DM guidence.

WEALTH:
Roll for any wealth available to your character, checking for any DM guidence or other modficications possible.

EQUIPMENT AND WEAPONS:
Choose your character's starting weapons and equipment. Remember Race, Character Type and Conception.

16.

MANC:
If a Mancer, choose your starting Manc and create any Manc items appropriate, or if a non-Mancer roll to determine if Manc ability is available.

HERBS:
If wished or appropriate determine available herbs currentl owned by the character.

18.

MOUNT:
If appropriate generate your character's mount.

19.

SPECIAL ABILITIES / WEAPON FLARES / SPECIAL WEAPONS:
Determine if your character has one or more of these with DM guidence.

ALIGNMENT:
Choose Alignment with consideration to Concept, Race, Character type and DM guidence.

21.

SEX/RACE / HAIR / EYES/ HOME:
Using Race, Character Type and Concept choose your character's hair and their eyes as well as their original home.

22.

AGE / HEIGHT / WEIGHT / HAND:
Using Conception, Race, Character Type and dM guidence determine these aspects for your character.

23.

TOTAL BV'S:
Combining your current armour and default weapon with your Base ABV/DBV determine your Total BV's.

24.

NAME:
Finally choose an appropriate name for your character, based on Conception, Race, character type and DM guidence. Insert your character's name on the character sheet and any following sheets to ensure your character is together and not confused with any other.

25.

OTHER DETAILS:
Other things could be done to further enhance your character, from artwork, heraldry, voices, miniatures, family backgrounds, motivations etc. These are usually always optional.

26.

CHECK FINAL DRAFT WITH DM:
Before your character starts their adventures, ensure that the DM looks over your character, especially any special qualities or unsusual facets to their character and the DM will determine if they are ready or appropriate to their game.
