HIT POINTS

This is effectively the life force of the character. Loss of all Hit Points means the character falls into a coma and will die if not helped soon. Loss of Hit Points far below 0 may mean the character has died and is bayond normal medical aid.

Determining Base Hit Points
Having determined starting Attributes, the P.E. score indicates the characters base (starting) Hit Points. To this is added 1D6 as a 1st Level starting bonus. Some O.C.C.'s and R.C.C.'s may offer additional or bonus Hit Points or even S.D.C. points.

Building Hit Points
Starting at Level 2, for each new Level of experience add another 1D6 Hit Points. The more experienced and hardened the character becomes, the more damage they can endure.

Hit Point Damage
This is serious and life threatening as they indicate when a character may fall unconscious and die.

When Hit Points reach 0 the character falls into a coma and will soon die without extensive medical help or Psychic healing.

When Hit Points reach the character's P.E. points below 0 (i.e. negative values) the character is dead and beyond saving.

Recovery of Hit Points
See the section on Damage.
